Move With the Cloud!
January 2, 2012
My greeting to you on this first Monday of the New Year extends way beyond saying, “Happy New Year”! This year we have tremendous opportunity to be much more than happy! This year we have the opportunity to possess His promises. Every year I hear a Word and get a sense of direction from the Lord as to what to believe for and what to agree with. Usually I don’t hear it until it is time for my family to assemble for family prayer. This year, I heard it early – “to move with the cloud” and what is so magnificent is that already it has been confirmed and it seems that I am not the only one who heard it! read more...
Take Heart!
December 30, 2011
I am sure you have heard the expression, “take heart”. What does it mean? How can we take heart? I’m not sure where this expression came from, but when I googled it, it described this phrase as an “idiom” that means to take courage, used when people are discouraged. There is no better time than the end of the year to use that phrase – whatever this year has or has not produced for you, in terms of your expectation, the best thing to do is to “take heart” or “buck up” – because in a few short hours we all begin a new chapter of our lives. read more...
When I Walk in My Humanity…
December 29, 2011
One of the benefits of getting older is learning to like yourself just the way you are. Over time you recognize that there are some things that are probably not going to change, at least without a whole lot of work or money, or both! You’re stuck with your nose, your too round face, the height you wish had lengthened, but didn’t. Short of a miracle you probably aren’t going to become much smaller – and although you may wish for a consistent calm, relaxed demeanor – it is going to take much more grace working in your life to achieve it. read more...
Consider This…
December 28, 2011
All of us consciously or unconsciously do some reflection upon year’s end. We assess, evaluate, and when we reach our conclusions they very often determine our theology. We decide based on what how we look at the events and conditions of the past year whether God has been fair, good, kind, merciful, etc. We may not think we are doing this, but if we listen to ourselves, our words convey how we really feel - “Oh, God has been so-o-0 good to me, I just can’t tell it all!” And then there are those times when we say, “I don’t know what God is doing in my life, I just have to trust Him.” read more...

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Merry Christmas to Everyone! Don’t forget to take the time with your families and pray and give thanks for Jesus who is truly the reason for the season. Embrace your family and friends and love on them in a way you never have before! Share a story, song, poem, or testimony that will touch someone else’s life. Tangible gifts are a blessing but there is a bigger gift that can reach the heart if you give of yourself and share your story. read more...
2 Days Til Christmas! TIDINGS OF COMFORT & JOY!
December 23, 2011
The Holiday season is here, there are so many who have been overwhelmed in this season by the different things life has to bring. This week has been challenging for my family as we have had to accept the will of God as He called my Uncle Hershel home to be with Him. I know that in the natural this does not bring us much comfort and joy because he will be missed. I do realize that we do have a hope as Christians that we will definitely see him again. read more...
