Life is in the Blood! This Thing is So Simple! How Do We Miss It?
Foolish arguments and genealogies not only keep us at odd with each other, but totally in confusion with what we really believe. Yet, if we take God at His Word, this thing is so simple, a fool can’t err! God did not want to charge for salvation – for then it would only be for the rich; nor did He want to have to work for salvation, for then it would only be for the strong; and certainly He didn’t want us to have to figure out salvation, for then only the intellectual could attain it! No salvation was made free, simple, and easy – it is only a decision away.
Man, being who he is, always wants to complicate the most simple things however. So we find that some churches promote, working out your soul salvation – why others tell you have to “study and pray” to receive all your blessings, and there are so many other doctrines and attachments to the gospel that it’s a wonder anyone bothers any more.
Ephesians 4:15-17 says:
14-16No prolonged infancies among us, please. We’ll not tolerate babes in the woods, small children who are an easy mark for impostors. God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.
The Old Way Has to Go
17-19And so I insist—and God backs me up on this—that there be no going along with the crowd, the empty-headed, mindless crowd. They’ve refused for so long to deal with God that they’ve lost touch not only with God but with reality itself. They can’t think straight anymore.
We see in this passage that Christ is the source everything we do – that His very “breath and blood” are flowing through us – over very life is in the blood of Jesus! IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT WE MAINTAIN OUR PLACE IN THE BODY, NOT WITH THE CROWD! Every part of the body supplies a purpose and a function that is essential to the rest of the body – we can’t allow our member to be cut off from the body – for without its’ connection to the body – it will die! Read the following passage of scripture:
4-6In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t. Romans 12:4-5 (MSG)
More on this tomorrow…

So glad the Holy Spirit gave this message to you. As modern human beings, we still stumble over the same simple truths our fore fathers did! Why is it so hard for us just to “believe and receive” and then get in our place ans stay there? Selah.
