Confidence! – Yes!

One of the things that the world says is an essential along with the tailored black suit is a huge dose of confidence! Knowing who you are and what you are capable of doing is a big plus when you enter the job market, or for that matter any market! It is no doubt that people that are unsure of themselves are taken advantage of, often rejected, and sometimes even despised. Confidence is a characteristic that goes a long way on this earthly terrain.

Confidence in oneself is important, but how much more valuable is it when others have confidence in you. Consider this scripture spoken by the Apostle Paul:

6And I am convinced (confident) and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.Phil. 1:6 (AMP)

Paul was indeed confident of the work done by these believers, but his real confidence was not in their effort but in the One who never fails – and falters – until the job is done! The “He” in this passage is none other than our Father God who not only “actively shapes” our world (Romans 8:28), but He also keeps shaping that work until it is both “perfect” and “complete!” What a good Word for those of us who tend to be short on confidence! It does not have to depend on how much confidence we have, but how much assurance we have that we have a Father who loves us so much that He will not fail us and He will walk with us through it all, until the “day of Jesus Christ.’

No matter what we are facing, we have strength on our side – the strength that pulled the world and all the rest of the worlds into existence is helping us to bring “our world” and “our work” – into a perfect completion!

Another Selah moment,
Maria
