Foolish arguments and genealogies not only keep us at odd with each other, but totally in confusion with what we really believe. Yet, if we take God at His Word, this thing is so simple, a fool can’t err! How then Shall We Live?

There are certain things in scripture that I do not pretend to understand, I have to take them by faith! And there are also those scriptures that I see one way in a particular season, but as time goes on, I begin to see them another way – with more clarity. Having access to more than one version also helps to bring things into focus. For example, I begin to meditate on just what “walking in liberty” means. It is hard to walk the streets of any major city and not get dusted by pollution. It may fall upon our hair, our clothes, or even cover our skin with an icky kind of film. Because it is in the air – we cannot protect ourselves from it. Three Lies Trap Us Every Time!

There are three forces that will trap us every time – doubt, fear, unbelief! And for most of us they are all results of something happening to us in our lives that has caused us pain. Don’t take my word for it – retrace the events of your life – when did you doubt, what made you afraid, what tried your faith? What circumstances led up to falling victim to these three lies? What was your response? How long did it take for you to come to recognize the lie for what it was?
