I’ve Seen This Before!

One of the things that I make a practice to do as I drive, particularly through unfamiliar places, is to look for markers that I can remember. I am privileged to have On-Star in my car, and I know how to use Mapquest – but for me marking the territory and planting places in my mind is my best defense to finding my ultimate destination.

This practice has carried over into every area of my life. When I enter times and seasons that are seemingly unfamiliar I look carefully to see if there is any marker that I can identify – have I been here before, did I pass the test, or is this my second chance? I heard a testimony early in my salvation experience which has proven to be true – if you don’t pass your test the first time, you willl see it again and again – until you do!

Our Father is not a hard task master in the sky trying to make our lives miserable. Rather His determination for us to get victory over difficult areas in our life is the HIGHway to take us to a more glorious pllace in Him that will ultimately profit US! While you’re going through this “faith walk” it doesn’t always feel like it however.

Don’t you sometimes wish that these scriptures were not in the Bible?

38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.Hebrews 10:38 (KJV)
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

But – they are there – and if you rightfly divide you will find that there are similar ones throughout the Bible – Old and New Testament! This is a faith walk – we are not going to know the outcome of everything we do! Yet God in His mercy does give us markers to help us. For example, when our patience is tried and it doesn’t seem that we can take any more – we remember – the last time I applied Proverbs 15:1-it worked!

(A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grevious words stir up anger.)

God does not leave us without indelible markers that if we will look for them, helps us find out way in this faith walk!

More on this tomorrow.

God Bless You This Beautiful Monday Morning!
Maria
