Oh the Wait!
June 30, 2010
It was twenty-five years and about six months ago that I was sitting in a chair on a very warm evening and the baby I was carrying would not be still. Now I was very happy to know that the baby was active and welll, but I had been pregnant seven times before this one, and on this very hot day it seemed as if I was going to explode! Platitudes that come from well wishers who tell you of the joy of being a mother usually aren’t what you want to hear. There is only one thing you can do when you are pregnant and uncomfortable and can’t wait for the baby to be born – wait it out! read more...
Tear Down the High Places!
June 27, 2010
While reading the books of Kings, one thing becomes appparent – there were more kings that inherited the evil of their Fathers, then were that inherited the good. At first glance, it would appear that evil is a much stronger force in a blood line than good! read more...
Sometimes You Have to Be in the Red!
June 25, 2010
In most instances of life, we want to always keep ourselves in the black! Being in the black in regards our accounts is a very good thing – it means that we don’t owe more out than we have coming in. This is a good principle to follow, beyond our account ledger, in fact the Bible says: read more...
An Unexpected Sabbath Rest!
June 24, 2010
Wednesday was for me, an unexpected day of rest. Earlly that morning, the storms began and came through my block with a fury that knocked the lights out. It wasn’t my plan but I found the darkness lulling me into a place of still quietness. I couldn’t post, I had work to do, but it too required the computer – the house needed cleaning, but with the muggy temperature and no way to make the air stir, that didn’t seem like a good idea. read more...
We Have More Than One Set of Eyes!
June 22, 2010
I have a new friend that is being challenged with his eyesight. Fortunately, he is determined to continue to press for all that this life still provides and he has become adept at using a computer that talks to him, so he can stay abreast reading, writing, and communicating with friends and family. What my friend lacks in the sharpness of vision in the eyes in his head, he has increased in another set of eyes, the eyes of his heart read more...
Take Them Out!
June 21, 2010
This time of year, with all of its’ beauty, has its’ pestilence. A lone fly buzzing around you can be more than a pest, it can be a disturbance to an otherwise perfect day. And because they are have feelers that can sense our coming, before we can move – it is very hard to get rid of them! We have to be focused, we have to be strategic, and we have to move with skill to take them out! read more...
Oh, How We Need Fathers!
June 20, 2010
Today is set aside to honor Fathers – and I want to be one of the frist to do this. I so appreciate men who recognize their God’given responsibility to not only provide sperm to produce life, but bring that life to the full measure of the stature that God intended. Unfortunately we are living in a day when there are far too many men who are living so far beneath their privilege – and their lives reflect that – for just as it is true for all people, when we fail to do what God designs us to do, we don’t receive the full benefit of the blessings He intended. read more...
They Call Me Brother and Sister Round Here!
June 19, 2010
I will never forget hearing the song by Bill and Gloria Gaither, “The Family of God.” I have never researched just how many songs they have given to the body of Christ, but every one that I heard has blessed me. Just look at these lyrics: read more...

From Glory Cloud to “A Place Called There!”
June 16, 2010
A couple of weeks ago I went to a conference entitled, ” A Place Called There” – I only went one night, but from what I heard, the entire conference was absolutely fabulous. Although I didn’t attend the entire conference, I got the message of the theme. It has stayed with me, it resonates in my spirit – because I understand all too well that this is my season! I know where I’ve been – I can appreciate in its’ entirety – the marvelous experience of this past week-end where the Father let me enjoy just a cloud of His glory – but where do I go from there? Where is next? Father, if we go from glory to glory – what’s the next glory? What will take for me to get to it? read more...
