Hope!

May 31, 2010

I don’t know about you, but I have faced many seemingly hopeless situations. There have been more times that my back was up against a stone wall than I care to remember. Yet, when I read the Lamentations of Jeremiah, I fknow I haven’t really gone through anything. read more...

Have You Inquired of the Lord Concerning Your Ziglag?

May 30, 2010

In my devotions this morning, I re-read the familiar story of David returning to Ziglag and finding all of his wives and children and possessions taken away by the Amalekites: read more...

“Real Girls Under Construction!”

May 27, 2010

Finding one’s purpose can certainly be desribed as a “defining moment” in one’s life. To really know that you now that you know what God has uniquely gifted you to do is a revelation that takes most of us a lifetime to truly uncover. With the many roads leading away from purpose, our young people don’t have a lifetime to experiment, they need Godly instruction and counsel now more than ever! Following just any road, and certainly following the crowd can have deadly results! read more...

How He Loves Us!

May 26, 2010

Just a note to all of our readers, that this time there is nothing wrong with our website. I have been taking a mini-break since school dismissed and although I have began several posts, I have not been able to complete any. I have been listening for a Word, not just any Word, but a word fit for the season. read more...

We Are God's Workmanship!

May 18, 2010

This is the graduation season. What a feeling of exuberance comes upon us when we come to the end of a task and meet the requirements for completion! Even when we just witness the success of others – it gives a charge that energizes your very soul. read more...

Wouldn't you Rather Have Filet Mignon?

May 16, 2010

The other day I went to a celebration where filet mignon was on the menu. Now I’m not a regular with eating red meat, but a good steak – will work good for you and your body! I realize the older I get, it’s not just about empty calories, it’s about what the food tastes like. There is no doubt filet mignon is better than McDonald’s! And so given the option – there is no option! read more...

More Than Redeemed, Renewed!

May 15, 2010

My sister and I were talking today about renewal. Modern technology now gives definite proof that brain cells that were dead can be renewed. Case after case has confounded the doctors when people who were deemed incurable, were cured; people who were given days to live, have lived many years after. When we think about new skin, and new cells, and new blood vessels and all the many things that are made new in our bodies every day – how much harder is it for God to give us a new heart, a new liver, or a new lung? We’re talking about God, our Creator, the one who made us the first time, can do it again… read more...

There is an Army Coming!

May 14, 2010

3 Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”
“O Sovereign Lord,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.”
4 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! 6 I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

7 So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. 8 Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’”
10 So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army\Ezekiel 37:3-10 (NLT) read more...

How Can We Sing a Song in a Strange Land?

May 13, 2010

3For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
4How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?
5If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

The Holding Pattern!

May 12, 2010

As I look back over the events that have transpired so far this year, I can’t believe that I am looking at the end of one thing that loomed so large that I didn’t know how I was going to make it through! It was not just a test – it was a stronghold that seemed to be so massive that I could not see how to come against it. And yet as the song goes, “when we gave it up – that’s when He blessed me” – that stronghold came down! God once more and again brought us through – that test is now another testimony of the grace and glory of my God. read more...
