Occupy!
April 30, 2010
On The 700 Club last night,Pat Robertson and others were on their knees praying for this nation on the anniversary of the first English settlers who came to this land in 1607 for religious freedom. Those settlers dedicated this land to Christ then, and now, over 400 years later, Pat Robertson was continuing this effort. Does that seem like a wasted effort to you – or do you believe that we still have the power and the authority to “decree a thing” in Jesus name? read more...
A Small Thing, But Who Knows How Big the Result Will Be?
April 29, 2010
Yesterday when I was at the hospital for a visit, a lady approached my sister and I and told us she hadn’t eaten for three days and wanted 2.80 to buy a hot dog. I couldn’t help but wonder whether or not a hot dog was what she really wanted. However, I have had to long ago settle people’s motives for asking for help with God. If I have it, and feel led to give, I will – and I don’t try to determine whether or not they are going to use the funds for something other than meeting their need for food. read more...
Coming Down the Wire!
April 27, 2010
I’m in the last stretch, most of the race is behind me, just a few more steps to go – it’s down to the wire time – either I’m going to finish well, or finish poorly. Ever been there? Ever had to juggle so many things that you wondered whether you were going to make it or not? Unfortunately I’m there much too often. Even though I’m talking about my work, I’m kinda there in my life’s journey – I’m down to the wire – there may be many, many miles, or just a few – only God knows – but one thing is evident – it’s time to decide on what things I want to finish! read more...

April 26, 2010
If you were looking for a post (and I hope you were) – I took a couple of days off to fully give myself to a couple of tasks at hand. Our Pro-Life/Pro-Family conference was the best ever! Over three hundred people came and basked in the presence of a great message and wonderful fellowship! read more...
What is Your Witness?
April 23, 2010
28 “If they say this, our descendants can reply, ‘Look at this copy of the Lord’s altar that our ancestors made. It is not for burnt offerings or sacrifices; it is a reminder of the relationship both of us have with the Lord.’ 29 Far be it from us to rebel against the Lord or turn away from him by building our own altar for burnt offerings, grain offerings, or sacrifices. Only the altar of the Lord our God that stands in front of the Tabernacle may be used for that purpose.” read more...
Revival Doesn’t Just Happen!
April 22, 2010
Most of us as believers are concerned about the state of affairs in our nation. If we make an open assessment of what is at the root of the senseless killings of our youth, the breakdown of our communities, the faltering character of our leaders – it all points to a nation of people determined to live without God. Time and time again through the ages nations have fallen into moral and eventually political decay because they failed to “guard their hearts.” read more...
Nobody Greater – Greater Than Our God!
April 20, 2010
Today we just want to take a moment and just thank this great God that we serve for all that He is, all that He does, all that He promises, all that He represents. The preacher said the other day – can you think about the attributes of God. I began to write down some of the attributes that I have become acquainted with: read more...
Will My People Let Me Bless Them?
April 19, 2010
The most heart wrenching cry of a parent is when their children get old enough and big enough to do what they want to do, yet don’t have the maturity to make wise decisions, and when caught in a snare are too proud to let their parents help them out of the mess!
I will never forget being in this situation with one of my sons – I was trying everything to try to get him to stay home – where at least I knew he would be safe – and yet he kept wanting to leave – to go to the city- even if it meant living in undesirable conditions. How my heart wrenched in agony – I had worked so hard to provide what I thought was a good home – and it seemed as if he would do anything not to stay there. read more...
Why Do They Want to Prohibit Prayer?
April 18, 2010
Prayer is a very intimate, private action, yet one we know has very public results. When I heard on the news that a federal judge in Wisconsin found the National Day of Prayer to be unconstitutional, saying it violates the First Amendment prohibition laws respecting an establishment of religion, it was once again brought to the light how afraid some people in this country are afraid of Christians and how determined they are to attempt to stop the work of God. Although President Obama said this year’s National Day of Prayer festivities (which include prayer in the nation’s captial0 will not be affected by this effort by the 15,000-member Freedom From Religion Foundation, it should be noted that last year President Obama did not involve the White House in the activities of the National Day of Prayer Committee which has celebrated this day since 1952! read more...
