The Promise…By Faith!

Happy New Year! We are here – in the new beginning that many of us have been hoping for – a clean slate – 2009 is past and we can believe that this new year will be ablaze with wonderful new oportunities; a fresh start – an open door – dreams put off can be realized; promises made can be fulfilled. If you don’t have a personal promise that you have been waiting on, the Bible is full of hundreds of promises for the believer – there is only one catch, we have to take those promises, by faith! This si the word for thiis year – the promise…by faith!

Hebrews 10:22-24 (AMP) says:

22Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere) hearts in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith (by ]that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), having our hearts sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water.

23So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.
24And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities,

I chose the Amplified because it preaches all by itself! God has given unto us “exceedingly good and precious promises” – they are ours, yes it takes faith – but it takes as much energy to have faith that nothing will happen, as it does to believe that something is going to happen!

This year I am determined to be intentional – intentional in my purpose, intentional in my praise, and intentional in directing my faith in God’s promises!
