Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord: Make His Paths Straight!

January 10, 2010

These are the words that I heard this night, and as I asked God what they meant, the Spirit of the Lord came to me saying that indeed this year is the year to “make His paths straight.” Years of confusion over the status of the church, and the affairs of this life have left far too many of God’s people in shambles. The cry has been, where is safe passage to my future? For those who have asked this, the spirit of the Lord would say unto you the same message as we find in Luke 3: read more...

Delayed, is not Denied!

January 9, 2010

One of the cardinal rules for effective weight loss is not to look at the scale every day. Monitoring progress once a week is o.k., but there are often daily fluctuations that can cause discouragement and take you off your page. One reason for that is that sometimes you lose water weight and it appears that you are really making much more progress than you are; and then sometimes the converse is true – you may not have dropped the pounds yet on the scale, but by continuing on the plan, they will suddenly drop! read more...

Selah!

January 7, 2010

The other day I heard a well known evangelist say that maybe we all need to take a Selah – to pause a moment – take time out and just stop what we’re doing – put everything on hold! That got my attention because in this season that is exactly what I am doing. Running in Place!

January 6, 2010

Last night I had a dream in which I was running for my life. It was much more dramatic than most dreams, it involved people in high places, and children that I was protecting from harm, it was a real suspense thriller! I tried to analyze the dream and so far it is a mystery – I have to settle that I have been reading too much into the news and having all that on my brain. read more...

Recover All!

January 5, 2010

8And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. 1 Samuel 30:8 read more...

The Year of the Take-Back!

January 4, 2010

One of my daughters proclaimed that this is the year of the “take-back!” It is a common thing for people to make resolutions at the beginning of the year. To determine that they are going to do some things differently. Unfortunately most resolutions usually don’t last beyond a couple of weeks in the year. It is a different thing to proclaim! To understand the difference, I went to the dictionary. The short definitions for resolution are: read more...

Family Benefits!

January 4, 2010

We are now in the third day of the first month of 2010! The Christmas season is over with people who were on vacation returning to work; children returning to school. The routine begins again…and sadly, with it, far too many leave the joy they experienced with family and friends, and take on the attitude of Mr. Scrooge once again! read more...
