A Sure Word!

Nearly everyone I talk to is involved in some kind of consecration. It is very exciting to think of the potential it will produce in the people of God this year. Often we inadvertently hope to get a Word – as we seek the Lord. How good to know we don’t have to wait! If we accompany our fasting with God’s Word – we find it’s already there!

In 1 Peter 1: we find:

16-18We weren’t, you know, just wishing on a star when we laid the facts out before you regarding the powerful return of our Master, Jesus Christ. We were there for the preview! We saw it with our own eyes: Jesus resplendent with light from God the Father as the voice of Majestic Glory spoke: “This is my Son, marked by my love, focus of all my delight.” We were there on the holy mountain with him. We heard the voice out of heaven with our very own ears.

19-21We couldn’t be more sure of what we saw and heard—God’s glory, God’s voice. The prophetic Word was confirmed to us. You’ll do well to keep focusing on it. It’s the one light you have in a dark time as you wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in your hearts. The main thing to keep in mind here is that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion. And why? Because it’s not something concocted in the human heart. Prophecy resulted when the Holy Spirit prompted men and women to speak God’s Word. (MSG)

I love Peter – he was a rascal, but once he got it, he got it! Lord give me such a faith as this! To realize what we have as a result of the Holy Spirit, to proclaim God’s Word both to ourselves and others! Glory! I know that you will join with me today that “the people of Haiti will be visited by the right hand of God and that this tremendous tragedy
will work a far more exceeding weight of glory for this nation – physically, financially, and most of all spiritually! God send help for all they need in Jesus name!
