He Keeps His Word!
The Bible says in Psalm 9:18:
<em>But the needy will not be ignored forever;the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed.>
Won’t you join me in prayer today that the God we know who sits high and looks low would observe those who are needy this day – many without cause -and make provision for them in this season.
Father we come into Your presence in the name of Jesus, with thanksgiving and we bless Your Name. We thank you that You who judge righteously are mindful of those who are struggling and with much effort have tried to no avail to make provision for their families. Collectively we join our hearts and our prayers to You to move by Your Spirit and Your Power to cause them to be able to receive the bounty that comes from You. Touch the hearts of those who have more than enough in resources to give of those resources to organizations that have the purpose to provide for those who are in need.
We thank you that every Mother, every Father that is praying to you right now for food on the table will see the fruit of that prayer – we thank you that every child that needs a coat, a hat, warm clothes for this season will have that need supplied. We thank you that a spirit of mercy and grace will fall upon landlords and mortgage holders who are due payment and they will work with those who are trying to pay. We thank you God most of all that those who are called by Your Name will not fail to share the greatest message of all with those who need more than a fish, they need to know how to fish – that they will tell those who don’t know of Your great love that there is a God who loves them and knows the number of every hair on their head, and even as He clothes the lilies of the field, so too will He clothe them.
Help us all to know that as we pray, we give You, oh God, permission to move in the earth realm – to cause righteousness to prevail – to cause justice to reign down on Your people, help us to know that Psalm 12: 5 is true:
The Lord replies, “I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them,as they have longed for me to do.”
and
Psalm 22:26
The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.
Let the church say, Amen!
