Together Seeking God we Find Clarity!
When I posted the September 10th post, I asked for comments on Acts 16 where Paul and Silas sang praises to God and the next thing you know there was an earthquake that shook their chains loose. Following is a comment by Sandra Camper…
One Response to “Will They See, What They Hear?”

I will share what came to my heart after reading this.
Whenever God releases a “Suddenly” blessing in our life, we most certainly are to walk in it. Their release affected everyone in the house. Not only did their chains fall off but others also and salvation came as a result of what God had done for them. Sometimes we think it is just about us when God has a bigger picture in mind. Somebody is waiting on our deliverance, our testimony, our prosperity. God will use it to advance the Kingdom. It is a time of “Suddenly” miracles in the Body of Christ. God has some awesome things in store for us and when we sing and give Him praise our chains will fall off and prisoners will be set free.
I want to say thank you to Sandra who responded and to all those who are willing to share their thoughts on the HeartLife posts. When I began to think about this passage, I wanted someone to talk to about it. It made me know that one thing that is stirring in my heart is the opportunity to have real Bible study – to discuss with fellow believers passages of scripture that I think I understand and those I don’t. When we read 2 Peter 1:19-21 (King James Version):
19We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
This passage speaks to me that there is a sure word of prophecy that we need to bring clarity and understanding to our mind, strength to our hearts, and encouragement to our soul. But….. the proverbial but – there is no private interpretation to scriptural prophecy – because it did not come from the will of man, but by the inspiration of God who moved on men to speak forth that prophecy.
I love Sunday School, I love Bible study, I love prayer meeting – call me old school, but those are the bridges that brought me over – those bridges being the saints of the most high God who through inspiration of the Holy Ghost had a revelation or a song – or a testimony that gave me clarity enough to face another day. Together as a body of believers “iron sharpens iron.”
God Bless You to all of You Who Share Your Thoughts, Insights, and Comments on HeartLife – this is an open forum – all those who believe in the truth of the Word of God are welcome here.
Maria

This is so true Maria. I was just sharing a little of your son-in-law’ John’s testimony with a 18 year old young lady who thought her life was difficult and she said to me “I thought that I had it hard but I never had it that hard, I never knew being homeless. I see now I have been blessed”. I think this encouraged her as I shared Jeremiah 29:11 with her “For I know the plans I have for you, plans not for your destruction but to give you a future and a hope.” Like Sister Sandra Camper said, I believe God does indeed bring us through things not just for us but to bless others. Like the song says “Its not about us , its about JESUS.”
