Early Will I Seek
September 20, 2009
It’s been one of those nights – tossing and turning – and not really knowing why. Something is going on – I must commit it to God. The waters are being troubled somewhere -for one that I am connected to – i feel it. I rise early, hoping to know knowing that prayer itself, even without knowledge is in order. read more...
Hot Chocolate and Other Comforting Things!
September 19, 2009
The seasons are changing – it’s getting a little nippy at night. How wonderful to come in after a jam packed twelve hour plus day and put on the pj’s and get a cup of hot chocolate. It does more than take the chill off – it soothes the soul! read more...
Only One Life – No More Do-Overs!
September 18, 2009
News Flash! I have a praise report! It seems like just a few hours ago I wrote about a concern I was facing with one of my students – that I know I needed grace to handle properly. One of the reasons that I felt that way is because I had been at that place before – in fact, more than once. And don’t mind admitting – more than once I failed to have the right attitude – even when I did the right thing – I sometimes didn’t do it with the right heart. read more...
Here it Comes Again!
September 17, 2009
I know all of you are familiar with those times when all night long you struggle with an impending issue – a “how to” – how am I going to work this out? how am I going to pay this bill? how am I going to make it through this test? how can I mend this relationship? how can I make it another day like this? read more...
The Steps of a Good Man!
September 16, 2009
I am sure at one time or another you have been comforted by the words of the Psalmist in the 37th division which says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighteth in his way.” I can’t tell you how many times I have wandered around in what to me was a maze of darkness and I have quoted that scripture, holding fast that at least God knew where I was going. read more...
Forgiving an Offense Reaps More Than It Appears!
September 15, 2009
Recently I experienced a slight that caused me to be offended. The details are not important, the effect that it had on me – was important. It showed me that in spite of all that I have gone through – that my flesh is not dead – I am still among the living and breathing “works in progress!” read more...
Shut the Door!
September 14, 2009
This morning I heard a Word – and it was not just a good preached Word – it was a Rhema Word for me! For the concerns that I left home with, were answered with this Word. This is the amazing thing about going to the church house, hearing a message from the preacher who is literally saying the very thing you talked to God about and clearly answering the questions you brought before the Lord! read more...
Always Keeping the Promise Before You!
September 13, 2009
Yesterday I went to two life-changing events. One was a memorial for a 91 year old Mother who loved God and loved her family. The testament of her living out her faith came through with such depth, but perhaps none other to me than to hear her granddaughter speak of her being her best friend, her confidante, her mentor, her prayer partner. It exemplified to me what I hope to leave as a legacy – that I would influence my children’s children for the cause of Christ! read more...
What Keeps HeartLife’s Heart Beating!
September 12, 2009
This week-end I am dedicating the posts to you our HeartLife family. It is our prayer that these posts go to bless and encourage the hearts that need it, but we know that there are some out in cyberspace who tune in regularly – in fact I have a report of several hundred hits to this website since its’ inception. For that we’re grateful, but what really encourages our hearts is when someone takes the time to respond to a particular post. Join us this week-end for just a few of the things that You have said, beginning with today’s response from Tisha: read more...
Together Seeking God we Find Clarity!
September 11, 2009
When I posted the September 10th post, I asked for comments on Acts 16 where Paul and Silas sang praises to God and the next thing you know there was an earthquake that shook their chains loose. Following is a comment by Sandra Camper… read more...
