After You Take Back, Give!
August 21, 2009
This week we have been talking about Taking Back -the things that the enemy is stealing from us, the things that we have lost along the way because we didn’t claim our rightful inheritance as blood-bought believers! God wants us to take those things that He has freely given us! As we “take” however, we must remember to give. The greatest gift we can give is our honest and sincere praise to God! From that praise flows everything else: read more...

Take Back Your National Heritage!

A very interesting story caught my eye today on Yahoo news. Its title was: “The Meaning of the $1 bill symbols. I read the story and learned something new today. Naturally I had looked at the symbols many times and yet never once did I dig into finding out what they meant – please don’t tell anyone I am a History major! read more...
Take Back Your Children!
August 18, 2009
Our children are wandering around confused and lost. They strive to fit in to the most popular group; they long for material things like clothes and cell phones and I-Pods, and… They know all the songs of the pop culture that they live in – yet they cannot recite one Bible verse because even Christian children don’t have the recitation programs – we don’t get them up before the church so that they gain confidence and are encouraged by their elders – we turn them over to day care and children’s church, and anybody else to teach them the way of the Lord. read more...
Take Your Marriage to God!
August 17, 2009
Few would deny that the institution of marriage is under attack in the United States of America. We hear celebrities make claims that they refuse to marry and choose to cohabitate because getting a piece of paper does not guarantee that the marriage would last. Statistics of course bear this out with nearly 1 in 2 marriages ending in divorce, with comparable stats for church atenders. read more...
Take the Church!

Specific prayers for specific answers: Today as we go into the house of the Lord, can we give thanksgiving that there is in this country houses of worship where we can with liberty and freedom raise up holy hands in God’s Presence. That we can still read God’s Word and hear the preached Word delivering the truth that will set us free and keep us free! That we can come together with people of like minds and hearts to assemble in fellowship and Christian charity to invoke the presence of the Lord to operate His Kingdom on earth – as it is in Heaven! read more...
Take the City!
August 15, 2009
It was in the heat of a powerful revival, I heard the words repeated over and over, “Take the City”, “Take the City!” It was another revival – I heard the words, said over and over,
“God said I have much people in this city.” How I remember the revivals of my Christian experience – those times when we prepared to come before God and KNEW that they we were going to hear a Word from God that would build us up! Part of my spiritual preparation was under a Word preacher who came through as a Baptist preacher. That Baptist part of him never left – and he would always instruct us to begin the service with the “occasion.” I don’t think that is a bad idea, we need to know why we are doing what we are doing – everything has a name – it doesn’t hurt to call it what it is! read more...
Real Joy in the City!
August 14, 2009
1-2That set off a terrific persecution of the church in Jerusalem. The believers were all scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. All, that is, but the apostles. Good and brave men buried Stephen, giving him a solemn funeral—not many dry eyes that day!
3-8 And Saul just went wild, devastating the church, entering house after house after house, dragging men and women off to jail. Forced to leave home base, the followers of Jesus all became missionaries. Wherever they were scattered, they preached the Message about Jesus. Going down to a Samaritan city, Philip proclaimed the Message of the Messiah. When the people heard what he had to say and saw the miracles, the clear signs of God’s action, they hung on his every word. Many who could neither stand nor walk were healed that day. The evil spirits protested loudly as they were sent on their way. And what joy in the city! Acts 8: 1-8 (MSG) read more...

I did not share my testimony concerning my job loss by accident – there is not a day that goes by that I don’t hear of someone who has lost their job. There is real suffering that occurs in both the lives of an indvidual and a family when being let go of your expected provision. read more...
