Finding the Escape Route!

June 13, 2009 by

Earlier this week I wrote about facing a challenge – one that I was very concerned about. I felt I had been positioned to go THROUGH this test, but there seemed to be roadblocks everywhere! On Sunday evening the enemy was able to get to my emotions, and cause me to have a little pity-party. Writing that evening and confessing God’s Word put me on straight street. I went to bed feeling as if I would have a solution at least to one my dilemmas.

I can shout it from the housetops – once more and again my Father came through for me. Every impediment to my getting THROUGH this week and its’ challenges was met one by one! I am thinking of the scripture text which reads:

“No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 (MSG)

God is so faithful to take us through insurmountable odds. I marvel at His faithfulness to hear our every cry – to answer every prayer; to give us witty directions (just as He has done so many times); to take us step by step to victory. What was the test – it isn’t important – because what could be a test to me – may not be to you; but I can tell you this that it was a big one for me – one I was afriad to face alone and yet He was there – every step of the way!

I marvel at God’s faithfulness to me. I don’t know how I would live without the favor of God on my life. He always shows me the escape route – after I’ve made up my mind to take that first step of faith. Because I said “yes” to the assignment, and “no” to the obstacles there are some lives that were encouraged this week and my own life was enriched for the experience.

I have On-Star in my car – and it’s good for giving me specific directions; I was going to cancel it earlier this year because most of the time I know where I’m going, and on those few occasions when I don’t know, I look it up on Mapquest and print the direcctions out. However, I was going to a conference late one night and it was so dark. I was lost, in a totally unfamiliar area. That night On-Star led me safely to my destination, and that night I decided it was worth the money.

Now I can’t liken the God of the universe to a paid voice coming from a satelite; but one thing I can do is to give the God of the universe praise for the awesome escape route He gave me this week and with the promise that there will be many more, continue to give Him my life and my devotion!

Gpd Bless you,
Maria
