Thank you for Prayer!

“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is steadfast and confident! I will sing and make melody.”Psalm 57:7
Confession is good for the soul and having the opportunity to share it with friends that care is even better when they pray for you when facing a transgression. Today was one of those days that it seemed like more attacks came, from unexpected places. It was tough because I was not cooperating. My rigihteous indignation was rising – I was feelling like I needed to drive out some moneychangers!

I can’t tell you when it happened – but as the day progressed, so did the release and the hold the enemy had on my spirit. I began to release the anger, the feeling of being put down, the feeling of hopelessness – I began to really feel inside and out – all is well with me because I am not taking ownership of any of these things!

It wasn’t until about 3:30 that I read my e-mail and I saw that two friends had prayed for me – there may have been more – I don’t know – but I know it only takes two or three – and guess what Dorothy and Tish, without even knowing anyone was praying, I felt those prayers – I felt that release that can only come from the Holy Spirit! I felt light! I felt empowered – I knew that everything in my present situation would be alright. I also knew that even though I had expended a lot of energy wrestling with the enemy of my soul, I could go and teach my new class and guess what – it was a joy! The class went very well.

How can I say thanks! I was in a warfare – and God set me free – once more and again! There’s a song that Donny McClurkin sings that has as part of its refrain:

“Again I called you, and again you answered. Again I need you, and again you’re there… You’ve come through for me once more and again, and again, and again…

I love hearing that song – but I love even more living that song. Experiencing God coming through once more…and again!

There’s no more to say – thank you Lord, thank you my dear friends – what power we have according to God’s word – what results we have, when we put His word to work!
