What A Fellowship!

May 20, 2009

Tomorrow my daughter Shanna and her husband Doug are moving away. They are not just moving to a new home, they are moving to a new state! In addition they are beginning a whole new phase of their life. My children have come and gone – to college, to different ministries – my son Stephen has been away from home since he left to go to college and living in another state. This is the second time that a daughter has moved – and even though that move was only an hour and twenty minutes or so – it was so difficult – so hard to be away from my grandchildren – all my children have lived in close proximity to me since the day they were born. read more...

Building a House for God

May 19, 2009

Today was my oldest granddaughter Kristen’s twentieth birthday. After having a very busy week, I was searching through my files for a post and I remembered that I began this – and put it aside to finish later. I had a thought that I was not able to complete at the time and possibly won’t complete tonight, it may take one of my daughtes or sons to complete it. I heard the familiar expression He is the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob – and I thought He is the God of Maria, Neesha, and Kristen…God does not see us as individuals, He sees us as generations – with each generation contributing to that which iHe is building. read more...

All Is Not Lost!

May 18, 2009

Today I attended the high school graduation of my second oldes granddaughter. It was very different from the graduations of my last two children – even though they went to the same school and their graduations were just a few years ago! Yes, the last vestigages of old-fashioned decorum were gone (no longer silence when the names were called) – and there was no traditional speaker to give words of encouragement. Yet this graduation had some components that gave me to know that all is not lost – there is hope for this generation – in fact – a great deal of hope! read more...

How to Be Really HAPPY!

May 17, 2009

So when He had finished washing their feet and had put on His garments and had sat down again, He said to them, Do you understand what I have done to you?
You call Me the Teacher (Master) and the Lord, and you are right in doing so, for that is what I am.
If I then, your Lord and Teacher (Master), have washed your feet, you ought [it is your duty, you are under obligation, you owe it] to wash one another’s feet.
For I have given you this as an example, so that you should do [in your turn] what I have done to you.
I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, A servant is not greater than his master, and no one who is sent is superior to the one who sent him.
If you know these things, blessed and happy and to be envied are you if you practice them [if you act accordingly and really do them]

Dare to Touch God's Face!

May 16, 2009

I wish I could say that this thought I’m going to share with you today was original, but it isn’t. I was listening to the radio and one of the radio preachers, I believe it was Ron Hutchcraft said it and it resonated with me to the point that I want to share it with you. read more...

The Prophet's Reward – Part III

May 14, 2009

The main character in this story – the Shunammite woman has portrayed a woman of faith and conviction. She received her promise and with faith held to that promise, even when it seemed to be slipping away from her! Scripture does not record the meetings and conversations that this woman had with Elisha on his visits. Needing Gehazi to interpret suggests that they did not speak the same dialect. However, permit me a little license here – for I believe that in his coming and going – this woman observed faith in action and the anointing he walked in was imparted unto her. read more...

The Prophet's Reward!

May 12, 2009

“Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.” read more...
