Our Daughters Need to Know That They Are Chosen!

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted. 2 Peter 1: 9 & 10 (MSG)

Statistics from the Center for Disease Control tell us that:

“Vaginal, anal, and oral intercourse place young people at risk for HIV infection and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Vaginal intercourse carries the additional risk of pregnancy. In the United States

In 2007, 48% of high school students had ever had sexual intercourse, and 15% of high school students had had four or more sex partners during their life.1

In 2007, 39% of currently sexually active high school students did not use a condom during last sexual intercourse.” (For more information go to the CDC website: Healthy Youth/Sexual Behaviors)

If you continue on this link you will find that a majority of those engaging in sexual behaviors do it under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Although sexual promiscuity is only one of the problems facing our young people today, it can have life altering effects particularly for young ladies (their scars often show, but the scars that often don’t show on the males, are nonetheless still there).

For too many years, we who have the answers from God as to how we should live, have kept silent about the flood of immorality that fills the vision of our young people on a daily basis. The entertainment media has them consumed with immoral lifestyles; our schools spend more time talking about alternative lifestyles than they do concentrating on the epidemic of illiteracy we have in this country. Too many of our parents yield to the pressures of their children’s peers, allowing them to set the tone for the behavior of their children. The church has often submitted to what they feel is an inevitable pull of the world and allowed popular culture to predominate the youth group, feeliing that “at least they’re in church”.

Chosen Daughters of Destiny was born out of the mistakes of the young women who now provide leadership to this group. Never wanting young ladies to experience the negative consequences of poor choices, they who now walk in the light of God’s word have found that there is a better way; a healthier lifestyle; a more fulfilling present and future – when you discover your God-given purpose and begin to walk toward that destiny!

This biblically based ministry provides creative and entertaining scenarios and activities to engage the young ladies, ages 10-24 in finding that “defining moment in their life” where they know that they know that they know that God loves them; that God created them for purpose; and God will watch over His Word to perform it in their lives if they trust Him!

On Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, 2009 Chosen Daughters of Destiny will host their annual conference at the Holiday Inn in Matteson, Illinois. Friday will be a night of worship and praise led by our favorite worship leader, Jon Jones and Atmosphere of Heaven! Prayer and fasting have paved the way for all participants to experience a night of restoration and refreshing

I am proud to be a sponsor of Chosen Daughters of Destiny and I encourage you if you have a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a neighbor, a student to register for and attend this conference. Follow the llink to the right of this page for more information.

God Bless You,
Maria
