Follow Your Dreams!
April 17, 2009
On this Friday morning I am in Minneapolis, Minnesota enjoying my newest granddaughter, Chloe Noelle with my son Stephen and his wife Tiffany. I want to say thank you to all of you who daily read this inspiration, and also to those who do a drive-by every now and then. It took me years to begin this juncture, basically because the enemy of my soul daily said to me, “what makes you think anyone will read what you have to say?” What I should have answered back to him and kept moving, was, “that will be their option, not yours!” read more...
Listen for the Message in God’s Silence
April 16, 2009
Very few of us can withstand complete silence, especially when we feel as if someone ought to be talking! We squirm, we turn, and very often we attempt some kind of conversation filler to stop the deadening sound of silence! It’s not any better when the person who is silent is our invisible God. In fact it’s probably even worse. Just because we can’t see God, doesn’t mean we don’t know that He is there – and when He is not! The presence of God is such a strong force that we immediately know when there is distance between us. And even though few of us are privileged to hear the audible voice of God, we definitely know when He speaks – and when He doesn’t! Even though too many of us take for granted the protective and comforting presence of God – when He is silent – we immediately know something is wrong and we began to get signals that confuse us. read more...

Carrying Out All Things That God Requires
April 13, 2009
On Sunday evening two of my favorite movies aired – “The Sound of Music” and “The Preacher’s Wife.” In the first movie, a woman preparing to be a nun, instead became a wife; in the second, a woman who was a preacher’s wife prepared to be a preacher’s wife. The beautiful music in The Sound of Music lifts your spirits and in The Preacher’s Wife, you see a glimpse behind the scenes of what it is like for a pastor’s family. Though fiction, it is something familiar to me, and something that for years I looked forward to experiencing for myself, and once it didn’t happen as I thought, I grieved for years of what might have been. read more...

Because of Calvary: Life and that More Abundantly!
April 11, 2009
Today was Good Friday. In previous years – I can remember going to church from 12 unto 3 listening to the Seven Last Words, even having the privilege to have one of those words to preach myself. It is important to take a look back to remember that Christ went to Calvary, to be beaten and nailed to a cross for a debt that He did not owe. The greatest part of this love story of redemption is that God Himself wrapped Himself in human flesh, came to earth as a baby, grew to be a man, lived a sinless life, though “He was tempted in all points, as are we” (Hebrews 4:15), but He came through every test without sin! read more...

“And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.” Luke 2:18-20 (KJV) read more...
