Adding to Your Faith…

February 27, 2009

HeartLife Ministries is committed to promoting sound, Biblically based lessons to strengthen and encourage our readers. It is no accident that we infuse our daily inspiration with scripture texts. It is our hope that our readers will see a scripture in the reading, that will be a Rhema word for them and pursue further personal study during their devotions. One of the things that we have found to be very important is making the most of all the resources that are available to the body of Christ. Perhaps the greatest experience I had as a young Christian was coming through a loving and supportive church, where my participation was encouraged in Sunday School, with the youth, in women’s ministry. Nothing takes the place of on-the-job training, with a pastor and other leaders who will keep you accountable. Now, I do have to admit that I didn’t always value this – time brings maturity – and maturity helps you see that we need both vinegar and honey! read more...

The Dream Fulfilled – the Spirit Free!

February 26, 2009

Joseph proved his ability to adapt to whatever fate he encountered. Like the Apostle Paul he could say:
“I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].” Phillipians 4: 11 & 12 (AMP) read more...

Waking Up From the Dream – Part II

February 24, 2009

“This time he told the dream to his father as well as to his brothers, but his father scolded him. “What kind of dream is that?” he asked. “Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow to the ground before you?” But while his brothers were jealous of Joseph, his father wondered what the dreams meant.” Genesis 37:10-11 (NLT) read more...

Waking Up From the Dream!

February 23, 2009

“This is the story of Jacob. The story continues with Joseph, seventeen years old at the time, helping out his brothers in herding the flocks. These were his half brothers actually, the sons of his father’s wives Bilhah and Zilpah. And Joseph brought his father bad reports on them.
Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons because he was the child of his old age. And he made him an elaborately embroidered coat. When his brothers realized that their father loved him more than them, they grew to hate him—they wouldn’t even speak to him.” Genesis 37: 2-4 (MSG) read more...

Sowing Into Another Man's Dream!

February 20, 2009

“I dreamed a dream,” Pharaoh told Joseph. “Nobody can interpret it. But I’ve heard that just by hearing a dream you can interpret it.”
Joseph answered, “Not I, but God. God will set Pharaoh’s mind at ease.”
So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “You’re the man for us. God has given you the inside story—no one is as qualified as you in experience and wisdom. From now on, you’re in charge of my affairs; all my people will report to you. Only as king will I be over you.” Gen. 41: 15-16;39-40 (MSG) read more...
