The Twelve Days of Christmas – Day 2
“Trust in the Lord, and do good; So shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shall be fed.” Psalm 37:3 KJV
In the middle of last night I heard these words. Words that I have heard before and that have continuously brought me comfort – even more so now that I know they are true!
So many times in my life when it seemed as if wrong was triumphing -and need was outweighing supply - I had to believe that the good I was trying to do- and the trust I was trying to have – would pay off. Even though I hated myself for doing it, sometimes I would say to God – don’t you even remember how I have tried to live for you and serve you by serving others? There would be no response – even when I read in Oswald Chambers that the greatest evidence of God’s confidence in you is when He trusts you with silence – the silence was still deafening.
Over the years I learned that God indeed does pay what’s right. He will be no man’s debtor – you can’t out give God! At every juncture He shows up and blesses us – with blessings both seen and unseen. As we journey through the difficult days ahead (at least that is what the media keeps telling us everyday) – know that God’s word is true! Meditate on His Word – let it wake you up in the night season to energize your faith, pull down the strongholds, cast down the imaginations, and let the life of the Christ that came during this season feed you in every area of your life!
