Last night on “The 700 Club” I heard Pat Robertson respond to a question that a listener had asked: if God could not protect Jesus from death on the cross, how could she trust Him to protect her? It was a question that few would tackle probably feeling that it borders on blasphemy. However Pat took it on and responded with all the great things that followed that death on the cross – the Resurrection, seated at the right hand of the Father, the redeemer of mankind, the head of the church, the soon to be ruler of all things – just to name a few! When we began this thought, we realized immediately that it is much larger than one or even two days of delving into it. Most of what we classify as “trials and temptations” are things that we have seen before and for one reason or another didn’t deal with them, and instead of going away they come back with a vengeance.
